Coming from a family of music lovers, Bharathi started learning Carnatic music at a tender age of 5. Having learned uunder able gurus such as Sri Kuppuswamy, Sri Kollegal Subramanian from Hyderabad, Ms. Bhagirathi Ravi (Chennai) and Ms. Divya Venkateswaran (Jersey City), she has been giving several carnatic concerts at temples all over the world.

With a passion for fast paced music in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, Bharathi has made her foray into film music singing with Aavakai. She is well admired for bringing out the original mood and expression of the song.
