Arun   aka Gatorade goes by the name owing to his immense energy with the drumsticks in his hand. Starting with a pair of combs as drumsticks and an old philips tape recorder as his drums, he's come a long way from his first composition in his fifth grade to becoming the lead drummer for Aavakai.

Right from starting a band called "Untamed" during his stint at Carnegie Mellon University to floating a Tamil band called "Sahana" in the Bay area, he has proven his talent & interest in music and drumming. Trained under the aegis of "Drummer Gopal", he has played in many rock shows since a very young age.

'Gatorade' is a very passionate musician. He has carved his niche in the drumming arena and proved that he's here to stay.

Hymanand   has been a tabla accompanist to some of the light music bands in the bay area and in New york and has done some recordings as well with these bands . He learnt tabla under the guidance of his first Guru Sri Garud who lives in Bangalore and is a renowned Hindustani music teacher and runs the Hindustani Sangeetha academy.

Hymanand was inspired by the art of tabla at a young age and went searching for a teacher all by himself and walked into a house where he heard music and found his music teacher. With a background of Hindustani music from his Guru , Hymanand enjoys playing for filmy music.
